Marine Raider Regiment Headquarters, Camp Lejeune, NC – Project Spotlight
The construction of the Marine Raider Regiment Headquarters at Camp Lejeune is well underway under the leadership of Project Manager John Schultheis, Superintendent Mark Witherington, and SSHO Vince Meeks.
The work includes an extensive amount of civil work, including installation of erosion control measures to protect the surrounding wetlands, timber clearing, existing utility demolition, relocation, installation of new utilities, tie-in to existing utilities. Site grading, that includes cut and fill, forebay, level spreader/filter strip, asphalt tie-in to an existing road, new access road, parking area, curb and gutter, sidewalk, perimeter security fencing, running trails and landscaping.
The work also includes the construction of a new approximately 30,000 square foot structure that will include an installation of concrete foundation/slab, pre-engineered metal building, with a standing seam metal roof, exterior non-load bearing metal stud framing with brick veneer finish with storefront windows and doors. The structure will include the installation of the following systems, HVAC, Telecommunications, Fire Alarm, Electrical, Fire Suppression rough-in and trim out. Also including but not limited to installation of insulation, gypsum wall board hanging and finishing, painting, porcelain tile wall and floor, carpet tile, resilient flooring, acoustical ceiling grid, ceiling tile and casework. This project also includes has a substantial Audio Visual and Furniture package inclusive of demountable partitions and raised access floor systems. Daniels & Daniels Construction Company
